Our library
Our Library
Every volume here arrived in somebody’s bag. Members lend, donate, and occasionally forget to take theirs home — and the shelf grows.
Borrow what you like. Bring it back whenever. Tuck a note inside for whoever takes it next.
The reading room
A room with the shelves within reach
Open on select afternoons. Chai on the table, no music, no obligation to talk to anybody. Sit with a book for as long as you like.
DM us to enquire, and book your ticket on AllEvents or BookMyShow.
How borrowing works
three small rules
Two months to return
Long enough to read it slowly, short enough that the next reader gets a turn. Every borrowing is entered in the ledger.
Write in our journal
A date, a name, a line about what you thought — leave it in the Journal so the next reader finds it.
Always via the shelf
Books come back to us first — never hand one to another reader directly. If somebody else wants it, ask us and we will reissue it to them.
Leave a book, take a book
The shelf only grows because readers add to it. Bring literature you would recommend to a friend — a book you loved, not one you were clearing out. Nothing you would otherwise sell as raddi.
