The heat was high, we were entering the fort. Those 10 minutes felt tiring. But the shade of the trees and rustic chairs on the right side just inside the palace courtyard, had us feel like home. The rooms were kept cool for us, we charged ourselves and met for pool time after 1 hour 15 minutes of rest and then, the water fights, the floating net bed, volleyball, created the best moments of friendships in this unforgettable PDBC Bambora Retreat 2025.

Booked the retreat, but had the last minute jitters ki jaun ki nahi.. Garmi itni jyada lamba travel upar se chutti leni padi. But now that I am back and still in full trip hangover I can say it was all worth it.This trip was just what my soul needed and beyond what I expected. The conversations, the laughter the trip songs, games, pottery session, horse riding ❤️. Didn’t feel like I was meeting you all for the first time , it felt like reuniting with old friends.
Thank you PDBC (Priya and Chirag) for being the glue that held this together. The planning, the beautiful fort, the way every little detail was taken care of and your constant efforts to make sure we had the best time is truly appreciated. You went above and beyond to keep us entertained throughout ..so much so that each minute was planned out 😁.
Thank you for the wonderful time. Hope to meet you all soon – Akanksha
I’m still savouring the best golden-hour sunset from the fort, ek machli pani me gayi, chappak during our pool time, that peaceful, silent reading session… and oh, the urge to extend our time together!
All thanks to Priya and Chirag.
Waiting for next retreat😊 –Mehul

A 300-year-old fort,
A story read there which was older than the stones,
An experience which will remain eternal, until eternity
A group of idiots, as the world called them, because they found their world in the words and pages
A discussion in the thunderous night
What did we miss? Monjulika wished she could have made it
And that’s how I sum up, this retreat…first for me, and more to come. –Abhishek
This is probably the first time I decided to travel not expecting to explore the city, but to explore stories and moreover books.
The experience was something I cannot define in words, the water fight, reading session, horse riding on 2.3 years old Tulsi, dia in making, Gulzar’s dil to bacha hai ji, the late night discussion..and of course, archery, which btw me n Alifia had the biggest score😝😝
Eagerly waiting for the next retreat🤩- Anusha

The Bambora Fort was a reminder of the world that exists outside our reality, a world where time slows down to walk with you like an old friend.
There were chairs and nooks in every place I could wish to sit & read a book.
Old stone stairs, Tulsi the poni, pottery with uncle from village patiently allowing our mistakes and helping us make a near perfect diya which is harder than making a pot, he said. Volleyball in the pool, sitting and sleeping on the boundary wall staring down at the pool, because we just couldn’t remove our eyes from it, and for the first time, it felt like this is the life everyone deserves to live, even if for a day, but books, an old sweet nothings wala palace, a village nearby and staff that doesn’t hover or be rude but takes care of you and understands your need for time to be with your alone self.
There is so much to say and so much to hide that lookout point from where the parrots are visible flying from one tree to next. Best not to disturb there morning swimming! They were in the: life is a race (but between two trees mode)
I loved Bambora Fort & these 2 days were the universe’s magic wand for me and PDBC and its readers
– Priya
We left asking for more of such days & nights, stopped by time, as if just for us. The emotional hangover will be long lasting this time…
